Andrey Rublev has opened up about the impact Marat Safin has had on his mindset as he competes at Wimbledon 2025. The Russian star, currently ranked 14th in the world, began working with Safin earlier this year in a bid to overcome a prolonged dip in confidence and form.
Rublev revealed that a pivotal conversation with Safin after his early exit from Wimbledon 2024 helped him shift his perspective. “I worked to fix my head, because the problem wasn’t with my tennis,” Rublev said. “It’s gonna sound funny, but it’s all thanks to Marat Safin… We got in contact somehow, and that’s it. He helped me”.
