LIVE RANKINGS. Bianca Andreescu rising fast and aiming at the WTA Finals

The Canadian has now a shot at qualifying for the WTA Finals.

Bianca Andreescu is having an outstanding run in Toronto where she reached the finals after winning a huge battle against Sofia Kenin 6-4 7-6 (5).

The Canadian has a fantastic 34-4 win-loss record in 2019 (counting also Newport Beach), and she hit the headlines when she conquered the title in Indian Wells.

Unfortunately, Bianca has been sidelined for long buy a shoulder injury and she managed to have a proper comeback in Toronto. In Ontario, she reached the final after beating Eugenie Bouchard 4-6 6-1 6-4, Darya Kasatkina 5-7 6-2 7-5, Kiki Bertens 6-1 6-77 6-4 and Karolina Pliskova 6-0 2-6 6-4 before her clash against Sofia Kenin.

Live rankings and projections

After defeating the American, Bianca goes 8 places up in the live rankings to be projected to be world no.19 from Monday. If she wins the title, she will be no.14.

Even more impressive, Bianca is no.10 in the Year to Date (live) rankings, and if she wins Toronto, she will be no.8 with a big chance to qualify for the finals.
