Grigor Dimitrov is on a roll!
The Bulgarian defeats Viktor Troicki to reach the semi-finals in Sofia. Grigor started the match in great fashion to grab a fast 3-0 lead before winning the opener 6-3. In the second set, Grigor won the last four games to reverse a 2-3 deficit and finally conquer the match in straight sets (6-3 6-3) in just 65 minutes.

Grigor was happy with his tennis and definitely elated with the fact that he has reached the final four. The Bulgarian commented
“I was feeling the ball a little bit better, serving well and returning great, so all of those things helped me out there against Viktor. It’s the first time for me to be in the semi-finals here, so it’s hard not to be excited. It’s been a long time since I’ve played in front of a home crowd and they’ve been crazy all week, so I’m just trying to take it in and enjoy every moment.”
Next vs. Basilashvili
Grigor will play world no.87 Nikoloz Basilashvili for a place in the final. The Georgian is having the tournament of his life after he defeated Thiem and Klizan on the way to the semifinal. Grigor and Nikoloz have never played each other. The Bulgarian is the hot favorite to get to the final.
