Nadal joins Murray to play at Queen’s Club

Great news for the tennis fans in London as Rafael Nadal confirmed his participation to the upcoming edition of this summer’s Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club.

Rafa had to miss the tournament last year because of his wrist injury, but he is set to play this season. The King of Clay won the title at Queen’s in 2008 just before defeating Roger Federer in the famous Wimbledon final.

Winning in 2008 was great. NADAL

Rafa released the following statement

“I am very happy to be coming back to Queen’s in June. Winning the title in 2008 is a great memory for me, and it is the best way for me to be ready for Wimbledon.”

From the organization

Stephen Farrow, Aegon Championships tournament director, commented

“Rafa is one of the greatest tennis players of all-time and one of the most popular ever to play at The Queen’s Club.

To be able to add his name to that of the world No 1 Andy Murray in the Aegon Championships line-up in a year when we are expanding our Centre Court capacity by 30 per cent is wonderful news for the tournament, our spectators, and our sponsors.”

According to some rumors, Rafa will get a participation fee that is over 1 million Euros, that would make everyone happy!
