World No. 1 Jannik Sinner addressed the media ahead of Wimbledon 2025, brushing off concerns that his recent backroom shake-up could affect his performance at the All England Club. The Italian star, who recently parted ways with fitness trainer Marco Panichi and physiotherapist Ulises Badio, insisted that the decision was not the result of any major fallout and that he feels fully prepared for the grass-court Grand Slam.

“Nothing major happened. Nothing big happened,” Sinner said. “I parted ways not long ago, but it’s not affecting me. I feel ready to compete. I feel free. Me and my team, we are ready to do the best we can”.

The timing of the split—just days before the tournament—sparked speculation about internal issues or a potential disruption to his routine. However, Sinner emphasized that the move was simply about following his instincts. “Sometimes a player feels something different, and that’s my case,” he explained.

Sinner also expressed gratitude for the work he had done with Panichi and Badio, acknowledging their contributions to his recent success, including his Australian Open title and deep runs at Roland Garros and other events. “We’ve reached incredible results in the past with them, so obviously huge thanks to them,” he said.

Despite the changes, Sinner appeared calm and focused, reiterating that his primary goal remains to play high-level tennis and enjoy the experience. “I’m here to play good tennis. That’s my main goal. That’s my main reason I’m here,” he added.

As he prepares to face fellow Italian Luca Nardi in the opening round, Sinner’s confidence and clarity suggest that he’s not letting off-court adjustments distract from his pursuit of a maiden Wimbledon crown.
