Daniil Medvedev destroys Dominic Thiem 6-3 6-1 in the quarter in Montreal on Friday after playing a fantastic match to play Karen Khachanov in the semifinal.

1st set.

Medvedev conquered a leading position at the beginning of the set after breaking Thiem in the 1st game (1-0). Daniil managed to boost his lead after breaking Dominic in the 9th (6-3) game before conquering the set.

2nd set.

Medvedev got off on the right foot in the set after breaking Thiem in the 2nd game (2-0) before consolidating his break and lead 5-0. Daniil extended his lead after breaking Thiem in the 4th (4-0) game before winning the set (6-1).

A crucial moment of the match was when the Russian won 5 consecutive games in the 2nd set to change the scoreline from 0-0 to 5-0.
