Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev brought both skill and humor to Centre Court during a light-hearted, mic’d-up training session ahead of Wimbledon. The two stars, known for their fierce competitiveness, showed a more relaxed side as they exchanged stories and jokes while fine-tuning their grass-court games.

Sinner, the current world number one, opened up about his recent culinary adventure, admitting with a grin that his attempt at a Spanish omelette didn’t quite go as planned—but was still edible. Medvedev, never one to miss a chance for banter, chimed in with tales of chaotic card games involving his coach, Gilles Cervara, who apparently has a habit of leaving mid-game, leaving others to finish for him.

Their conversation also touched on their past Wimbledon encounters, with Medvedev joking, “The roof is still closed,” in reference to their previous five-set battle. He also reflected on his evolving relationship with grass courts, saying, “I love grass. It used to be my favorite surface. Then I won a lot on hard courts, so I had to reconsider. But I still love playing here.”

The session, guided by British coach Jamie Delgado, offered fans a rare glimpse into the personalities behind the rackets. With both players on opposite sides of the draw, a potential rematch could only happen in the final—something tennis fans around the world would eagerly anticipate.
