Carlos Alcaraz added another chapter to his remarkable 2025 season by clinching his second Queen’s Club title with a hard-fought victory over Jiri Lehecka in the final of the HSBC Championships. The 22-year-old Spaniard prevailed 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2 in a match that showcased his resilience, creativity, and growing dominance on grass courts.
The final began with both players trading powerful baseline rallies and holding serve until Alcaraz broke through at 6-5 to take the opening set. Lehecka, competing in his first grass-court final, responded with poise, pushing the second set to a tiebreak and capitalizing on a rare double fault from Alcaraz to level the match.
In the deciding set, Alcaraz elevated his game, dropping just two service points and breaking Lehecka twice to seal the win in just over two hours. His ability to shift gears and dictate play under pressure was on full display, thrilling the crowd at the Andy Murray Arena.
This victory marks Alcaraz’s fifth title of the year and his 21st career trophy, reinforcing his position as one of the sport’s most formidable forces. With Wimbledon just around the corner, he now rides an 18-match winning streak and looks poised to defend his crown at SW19.
