Federer world no.1 in YTD rankings

The Australian Open has just ended and, of course, it’s a bit too early to predict who is going to be the world no.1 by the end of the year, but it is always interesting having a look at the Year to Date Rankings anytime.

From a mathematical point of view,  the winner of the Australian Open always leads this kind of rankings by the end of January, but it is interesting to see how the other players are performing and, in this case, the gap that Roger has with Murray and Djokovic.

Federer leads the YTD with 2000pts, followed by the runner-up Rafael Nadal and, this is interesting, Grigor Dimitrov that besides reaching the semi-finals in Melbourne, he has also won the tournament in Brisbane.

Roger has an impressive lead over Murray (1670pts) and Djokovic (1705pts). Of course, this gap is expected to fade during the year.

Here the top20.
