Federer’s cake is Felix Auger Aliassime’s dream

Felix Auger Aliassime is dreaming about having his birthday cake on centre court

Felix Auger Aliassime and Roger Federer have 1 thing in common: the birthday date.

In fact, both are born the 8th of August, but while the great man from Switzerland was born in 1981, the Canadian is class 2000.

Felix’ birthday wish

Therefore, today is their birthday as Federer turned 38 while Felix is just 19. When asked about his wish, the Canadian commented:

“I have a memory when I was a kid that there was a cake for Federer, because it was his birthday. It’s the same date for me.

I thought, ‘Well, I would love to play on centre court and have a cake on centre court.’ When you’re eight years old, it seems incredible to get a cake on centre court.”

Felix is lucky because his home tournament, the Rogers Cup, is usually played in the 2nd week of August exactly when it’s his birthday and that may also happen in the upcoming years. Interesting enough, the Canadian is scheduled to play today on Centre Court at 2.30pm and therefore his wish will most certainly come true. Winning against his upcoming opponent, Karen Khachanov, would be the icing on the cake.
