Rafael Nadal dispatches Daniel Evans 7-66 6-4 in the 2nd round in Montreal on Wednesday. Nadal will fight against Guido Pella in the 3rd round.

1st set.

Evans started the set strong after breaking Nadal in the 1st game (1-0). Nevertheless, the Spaniard managed to stage a great comeback to break Evans in the 6th (3-3) game before winning the set at the tiebreak at 6 after he saved 2 set points when he was 4-6 down.

2nd set.

Nadal had a pretty good kick start of the set after breaking Evans in the 1st game (1-0). Nevertheless, the set was not over yet and there was more work to do for Rafael to win the set because Daniel succeeded in breaking back in the 6th (3-3) game. Rafael kept his focus to break Daniel in the 7th (4-3) game before winning the set (6-4).
