A few days ago, Serena Williams got mad with a reporter that was brave enough to tell her that she had a “scrappy performance” against Lucie Safarova. The reporter had eventually to apologize, but we are sorry to say that the former world no.2 has won another match with a “scrappy performance” today.
Serena edged Barbora Strycova 7-5 6-4 after losing her serve four times. The opener was quite amazing with both Serena and Barbora dropping four consecutive service games after collecting only 1 point on their serve.

It was a good match for me. SERENA
After the contest, Serena tried to see the silver lining to comment
“It was a really good match for me, and I’m glad I got through it. It’s good to know I have a Plan B, or an Option 2. It’s always good to have something to improve on, and I know I can do better on my serve.”
Next vs. Konta
Serena will play Johanna Konta in the quarters. The Brit is on fire as she hasn’t’ conceded a single set in the last nine matches. They had never played each other so far.
