A few years ago, it was all out in the Newspapers that the World no.3 Roger Federer has a residence in Wollerau and a holiday home in Graubunden Valbella. However, there are a lot of things that have transformed since because the Swiss Player has made a couple of house moves.

Currently, the official residence of Federer is his holiday home-turned permanent residence, in Valbella. But, putting all rumours to rest, it is now official that he is shifting soon to the area of Rapperswil-Jona on Lake Zurich. The city of Roses has Roger Federer as its new world-star. He bought the land here and with his family will make the shifting move.

Is Roger Federer going to move to a new home

The Swiss tabloids reported earlier that Roger purchased a land plot spanning sixteen thousand hectares on the picturesque Bay of Kempratner that sits on the lakeshore of Zürichsee. This plot was an area filled with grass with just two outbuildings existing, but with plans submitted already for other buildings, the construction work has begun.

However, FM1 reported that Erbgemeinschaft, the owner, finished the entire project already, with Swiss partner Architekten and firm BGS responsible for construction. The makers have a history of erecting luxury properties all across the world.  It has also been reported that there will be a tennis court, an indoor area of sports and a classroom in addition to a wonderful-looking villa.

Another interesting fact about the Rapperswil-Jona area is that another resident, Jorge Paulo Lemann who is Laver Cup’s investor, is going to be the patent neighbour of Roger.

In a true blue Swiss-style, with a firm stand on not blocking anyone else’s view, or, annoying the neighbours, the construction is going to be understated in layout as well as design.

After Roger’s retirement, this could be the perfect abode with his young family and doting wife Mirka.
