Angelique Kerber keeps on struggling to meet the expectations. The world no.1 suffers from another horrible defeat against the world no. 35 Coco Vandeweghe 6-2 6-3.

The German went through a couple of amnesias that cost her four consecutive games in the opening set (from 2-2 to 2-6) and five games in the second set after she was leading 3-1.

It’s just the beginning. KERBER

Angelique has now a horrible 4-3 win/loss record, and if Serena Williams wins the Australian Open, the German will lose the top spot in the rankings. Kerber commented

“I was not feeling the ball at all tonight. I was not playing good from the first point. It’s just the beginning of the year. I can still improve my tennis, which is good.”

STILL NO.1?
