Murray shocked by Mischa Zverev

When Andy Murray was meant to play world no.50 Mischa Zverev, few were thinking the Brit couldn’t even drop a set. Eventually, Andy had to endure one of the worst losses of his incredible career.

Murray started the match in the best possible way with a break and a 3-1 lead. Things got immediately mixed up after the German broke immediately Murray (2-3), and later the Brit was unable to serve out the set when he was 5-3 up. Mischa surprised everyone after winning four consecutive games and clinch the first set 7-5. Once again, Murray got a strong 3-0 lead in the second set to waste his lead, but this time he managed to win the set 7-5. Things went down for the world no.1 from the 4th game of the third set when he lost seven consecutive games to find himself 7-5 5-7 6-2 2-0 down. At that point, it was too late for Andy to recover because Zverev didn’t drop a service game anymore to win the match 7-5 5-7 6-2 6-4.

I have already recovered from tough losses. MURRAY

Andy conceded that this was a rather unpleasant experience for him, but he is aware that he will go through this to comment

“He deserved to win because he played great when he was down, and also in the important moments. I was kind of behind in the last couple of sets the whole way but I have had tough losses in the past, and I have come back from them.”

Next vs. Federer

Mischa will play Roger Federer in the quarter. The German lost 6-0 6-0 in 39 minutes in their last match. He will do better than that!
