Daniel Evans has surprised the tennis world after reaching the 4th round of the Australian Open playing a fantastic tennis.
The Brit was elated after defeating home favorite Tomic, in straight sets, but he wasn’t impressed at all with the behavior of some friends of his opponent.
They acted like complete idiots. EVANS
After the match, Dan commented
“(John Tomic) came to the changing room after and said ‘well done.’ It was nice of him. I didn’t have a problem with him at all, to be honest. It was his opinion, yeah.
I just don’t think (others in Team Tomic) conducted themselves that well. John was fine, but the rest of his team acted like complete idiots in the box, screaming at me when I was getting my towel. That’s why I was upset on the match court
It’s an embarrassment. I think that’s why Bernie said, ‘well done,’ and stuff because he was a bit embarrassed by how those guys acted.”
This guy was coughing while I was serving
Then the Brit added, “Yeah, this guy behind me, obviously Croatian, Australian, whatever, was coughing as I was throwing the ball up, as well as screaming at me when I was losing points.”
Next vs. Tsonga
Dan will play Tsonga for a place in the quarters. They have never played each other so far. Nobody is expected to cough.
