At 35 years of age, Roger Federer plays one of the best tennis of his amazing career in the 3rd round of the Australian Open against a defenseless Tomas Berdych.
Roger started to get to an immense level from the 4th game of the 1st set when he was 1-2 down to clinch seven consecutive games and grab a sizeable 6-2 2-0 lead. From that moment Tomas tried to serve at his best because that was the only weapon available, but the Swiss was too solid to conquer also the 2nd set (6-4). In the third set, the Czech lost his serve in the very first game, and once again, Roger won all his service games without conceding a single break point. The final score was 6-2 6-4 6-4.

I surprised myself. FEDERER
During the on-court interview with Jim Courier, Roger admitted that he didn’t expect to “play this hard” to “surprise himself.” Then Roger added that
“I always feel like against better-ranked players you always lift your game, and I know Tomas well. This is what I train hard for. It pays off. It’s great.”
Next vs. Nishikori
Roger will face an in-form Kei Nishikori in the 4th round. The head to head is 4-2 for Federer that has won the last three matches against the Japanese.
