Serena Williams survived un-scattered a very nasty draw at the Australian Open after she had to play Belinda Bencic in the first round. Eventually, Serena had no problems in defeating the upcoming Swiss with a rather straight forward 6-3 6-4. That wasn’t the only surprise of the day from her.

“It’s a concern for everyone in general. We want to make sure we always continue to move forward and always have the opportunity to have equal rights for all. We don’t want to stop that.
Too often, women are not supported enough or are discouraged from choosing their path. I hope together we can change that. For me, it was a question of resilience.
