I can win the Australian Open. KYRGIOS DISAGREES WITH FEDERER

Nick Kyrgios had an outstanding start of his Australian Open campaign after he brushed aside Gastoa Elias displaying a rather amazing tennis. During the press conference, the Australian had to answer a couple of times the questions of the reporters about the fact that earlier Federer said that the Australian was not ready yet to win this Australian Open.

I think I can win. KYRGIOS

Nick was completely respectful toward the Maestro’ s opinion to state

“Well, if I didn’t think I’d win it, why would I play? I think I can win it. I’ve beaten pretty much everyone in the draw before. So, I think so. I just want to go out there and have fun, try and enjoy myself, try and strip it back and just play some tennis.”

I played Federer once; I beat him

Talking about Roger, Kyrgios added

“I’m not going to say anything back to him about it. Obviously, it’s his opinion. Everybody has it.

We’ll see. You know, I’ve done everything I can so far. I don’t really know what to say. What can I say? It’s Roger. I can’t really say anything to him.

It doesn’t bother me at all. I know he’s the greatest of all time. I know I just want to do my own thing. I played him once; I beat him once.”

Next vs. Seppi

Kyrgios will play Seppi in the next round. The head to head is 2-0 for the Australian that has defeated Andreas in the Australian Open 4th round in 2015 after an epic 5-7 4-6 6-3 7-6(5) 8-6.
