Padel is quickly gaining popularity among Central Florida racquet sports fans, and there is an increasing need for courts and infrastructure. Padel is drawing players who appreciate its fast-paced and physically demanding nature, even though pickleball is still the most popular racket sport in the United States.

Leonard Lopez, a senior padel coach at the USTA Tennis Center, emphasized the sport’s intensity by pointing out that it calls for greater stamina and movement than pickleball. Padel is still playable by players of all skill levels, which makes it a desirable choice for those who want to try something different.

BullDog Padel Club will open in Laureate Park, Lake Nona, to meet the growing demand. With the help of Tavistock Development, the club hopes to build a top-notch facility with six courts, locker rooms, and a social area where players can congregate and take part in the sport. Depending on final plans, a seventh stadium court may also be added.

The new club is anticipated to become into a gathering place for padel players in the area as the sport’s appeal only grows. The growing interest in the sport and its bright future in Central Florida is reflected in the growth of establishments such as BullDog Padel Club.
