One of the fastest-growing sports will soon be available in the heart of Nottingham thanks to the conversion of an old bus depot into a new padel center. The ancient structure on Iremonger Road, next to Meadow Lane Stadium in Notts County, has been approved for conversion into a contemporary facility by Pure Padel.

Built in the 1920s, the facility will have seven padel courts and a large food and drink area with a view of the Nottingham Canal. Pure Padel and Nottingham City Council are collaborating closely to ensure the project’s successful development, which is an investment of £1.5 million.

Manchester-based Pure Padel intends to open 30 clubs in the UK in the next five years as part of its ambitious expansion plans. As part of this larger plan, the Nottingham center will provide a top-notch area for athletes of all skill levels to enjoy the game.

In Europe and the UK, padel—a racket sport that blends aspects of squash and tennis—has become increasingly popular. Its fast-paced gameplay and confined courts have drawn an increasing number of enthusiasts. An important step in promoting padel in the area has been taken with the conversion of the Nottingham bus depot into a padel center.
