Genie Bouchard and Bianca Andreescu are about to clash in an all-Canadian 1st round at the Rogers Cup in Toronto.
Ranked no.112 Genie received a wild card to access the main draw without going to the qualifications while, ranked 27, Bianca had direct access. Unfortunately, fate wanted them to play against each other in the first round and Bianca seems to be the overwhelming favorite to win the encounter.

They have never played each other on the main tour, but they have recently clashed at a “lower-level” in Newport where Bianca won 6-2 6-0. It’s interesting to notice that in the last 10 matches, Bianca lost only once while Genie won only once.
