The Australian Open draw is out, and we already have a “loser” on the ladies’ side: Serena Williams.
The world no.2 is eager to do well in Melbourne, but the draw didn’t help as she will face Belinda Bencic in the opener. After that, potentially Serena will have to face some other sticky customers such as Safarova, Strycova, Cibulkova, Pliskova/Radwanska before possible reaching the final.

Who is the favorite
It’s impossible to pick a favorite. In fact, the world and seed no.1 has started the year with a horrible 1-2 win-loss record. Serena has a terrible 1-1 record after crashing out in the second round in Auckland. Probably this can be the 1st slam for either Agnieszka Radwanska, Carolina Wozniacki, or Karolina Pliskova. Or…what about Genie Bouchard or Belinda Bencic?
