Juan Carlos Ferrero has revealed that Carlos Alcaraz’s participation in the 2025 Queen’s Club tournament is still undecided. While the plan is to compete, Ferrero stated that a final decision will be made in the coming days based on Alcaraz’s physical and mental condition.
The team had discussed the possibility during the French Open, with Alcaraz expressing his eagerness to play. However, after a period of rest, they plan to conduct a test on Thursday or Friday to assess his readiness before making an official commitment.
Regardless of the outcome, Ferrero made it clear that their focus remains on Wimbledon, an event that Alcaraz enjoys playing with great enthusiasm. His preparations for the prestigious tournament will be guided by careful evaluation of his form and recovery, ensuring he arrives in optimal condition.
This is what he said: “The plan is to play, but we’ll make a final decision in a few days. We talked about it mid-tournament, and Carlos told us he was looking forward to going. After these days of rest, on Thursday or Friday, we’ll do a test to see how he feels physically and mentally. (…) We’re going to Wimbledon with great enthusiasm; Carlos loves playing there”.
Fans and analysts will be watching closely for updates as the young Spaniard weighs his options for the busy summer season.
