Andy Murray has always been a rather straightforward and honest about every argument. The world no.1 has not been shy in admitting that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to accept the knighthood for many reasons.

During a recent interview with The Times, Andy explained his reservations
“I got it when I woke up in the morning, just saying that I had been offered and asking if I would like to accept.
Obviously, you think about something like that because it’s a big honor, but with that comes a little bit more responsibility. I’m still very young; I’m still competing and obviously don’t want anything to distract me or affect my performance on the court.”

Then the Brit admitted that he feels awkward to be called ‘sir’ to comment
“I kept it fairly quiet. A few of the players have been chatting to me about it and asking what do we call you. Andy is fine.”
Murray is now getting ready to try to win his first Australian Open after he has reached five finals. Winning the Slam in Melbourne would mean a lot for ‘Sir Andy.’
