Nick Kyrgios has been for long at the center of many controversies because of his on-court behavior. The Australian has been recently banned after he gave up a match in Shanghai in a spectacular way. Now Nick is not questioning that ban, but he is denouncing the fact that the ATP treats other players differently.
Back in May, Kyrgios vented his rage after he got a warning for shouting ‘towel” to a ball boy at the French Open while few weeks before Djokovic didn’t receive any warning after he physically pushed away an umpire when he was challenging a call. Later Kyrgios said that if he pushed an umpire in that way, there would be “a circus.”
What happened on Saturday
On Saturday night, during his final against Murray, Djokovic threw a ball in the crowd that hit a spectator. Djokovic admitted the mistake to comment
“I definitely didn’t want to hit the ball at anybody. Just happened. Fortunate not to get a bigger fine. I have to be more careful I guess. I accept that I made a mistake.”
On Twitter, Kyrgios commented
“I would’ve been defaulted and suspended until 2025.”
