Nick Kyrgios has confirmed that he will not compete at Wimbledon this year due to a small setback in his recovery from injury. The Australian star, who reached the final in 2022, announced his withdrawal on social media, expressing disappointment but assuring fans that he is working hard to return stronger.

Kyrgios has struggled with injuries over the past few years, limiting his appearances on the ATP Tour. His latest setback follows a knee issue that forced him to withdraw from the French Open, where he had planned to play doubles.

Despite his absence, Kyrgios remains committed to making a comeback, stating that this is just a temporary obstacle in his recovery. His withdrawal means he will miss Wimbledon for the third consecutive year, leaving fans wondering when he will return to the Grand Slam stage.

This was his message:

“Just wanted to give everyone a quick update – I’ve hit a small setback in my recovery and unfortunately won’t make it back for grass season this year. I know how much you’ve all been looking forward to seeing me out there, and I’m genuinely sorry to disappoint.

This is just a bump in the road though, and I’m already working hard to get back stronger than ever. Thank you for all your continued support – it means everything to me. See you soon!”
