Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic will be the hot match of the day.
The fans in Doha have been gifted with the best possible final against the world no.1 and no.2 The odds are with Murray that, besides the ranking, seems to possess a more solid tennis than Djokovic right now.
Why Murray is the favorite
Andy reached the final after defeating Berdych 6-3 6-4 and without dropping a single set during the entire week. On the other side, Nole had to save five match points against Verdasco (world no.42) in the semifinal, and he didn’t really impress much in the first round against Struff (world no.63) when he was 0-4 down in no time.
Nole with his fighting spirit may find his way in the final against Andy also after he was so close to death against Verdasco, but still, his tennis doesn’t seem like the same level as Murray’s.
The head to head
Djokovic still has still a rather positive record against Murray (24-11), but the Brit had no problems against him in the World Tour Finals when he defeated the Serb 6-3 6-4 in the final.
It’s a great test
Andy is looking forward to playing Nole in the final to comment
“It’s a great test tomorrow. To start the year, it’s great to play against one of the best in the world. We know each other’s games better than we know anyone else’s.”
