Jessica Pegula soars past Camila Giorgi 6-2 6-2 in the final in Washington on Sunday after playing a superlative match to win her 1st career title.

Pegula overpowered the opposition at the beginning of the set after breaking Giorgi in the 1st game (1-0). Jessica managed to boost her lead after breaking Giorgi in the 7th (5-2) game before managing to win the set (6-2).

2nd set.

Pegula overpowered the opposition at the beginning of the set after breaking Giorgi in the 1st game (1-0). Pegula extended her lead after breaking the Italian in the 5th (4-1) game before winning the set (6-2).

At the end of the match, the American scored 58 points vs. Camila’s 35 points.
