Rafael Nadal has been so far the player that has impressed the most in the new season. Besides winning the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, the tennis legend has conceded just eight games (combined) in the first two matches in Brisbane.

After defeating Dolgopolov 6-3 6-3 in the opener, Rafa breezed past Misha Zverev 6-1 6-1 in the second round in just 55 minutes. 

The match against the German lasted just three games: Rafa had to defend two consecutive break points on a 1-all 15-40 scoreline to hold serve and then trash the German for the rest of the encounter.

The quarters vs. Raonic

Rafa will play Raonic in the quarters. The Canadian has reached the quarters after defeating Schwartzman 6-3 6-2.

Nadal has a 6-1 record against Raonic, and he has recently defeated the Canadian in Abu Dhabi. Another one on its way?
