Kyrgios hasn’t enjoyed much this Hopman Cup. Nick has lost the first two ties against Spain and the Czech Republic (2-1) after he won his singles (Gavrilova lost in both singles and mixed doubles with Nick). Things got south in the last single of the round robin today when he was trashed by Jack Sock 6-2 6-2.
Adding insult to injury, Kyrgios had to stand what it is going to be one of the best passing shots of the season after Jack Sock produced an amazing running-winning-tweener from the baseline (a shot you would have expected from the Australian).
Eventually, Nick retired from the mixed doubles citing a problem with his knee.
