Camila Giorgi is finally getting back to a very high level after a difficult 2019.
The Italian used to struggle for the first part of the season with multiple injuries (back and shoulder) to play just 9 matches before the current Citi Open to record a depressing 3-6 win-loss record. Eventually, the Italian found the solution in Washington to reach the final after beating Sachia Vickery 6-2 7-5, Rebecca Peterson 3-6 6-3 6-4, Zarina Diyas 6-3 6-2 and Caty McNally 7-65 6-2.
