Knighthood didn’t change me. MURRAY

Andy Murray has started the new year in the best possible way: with the knighthood. A few weeks ago, Sir Andy said that he was probably not ready to receive the recognition as he felt he was too young. Eventually, he was knighted and, of course, he was extremely happy with that.

I am still the same. MURRAY

Andy is currently in the Middle East where he played the Mubadala World Tennis Championship (Abu Dhabi) before going to Doha where he will compete in the ATP250 event.

The world no.1 didn’t hide his joy for the knighthood to comment

“I still feel like Andy Murray, that feels more normal, but I am happy with the knighthood, and it is a nice way to start the new year.”

Andy was also happy for defeating Milos Raonic in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship -3 7-6 (8) to say “It was good to finish the year with a win/ It was a good match to work on returns as Milos has a strong serve.”

Murray will now face Chardy in the opener in Doha.
