Nick Kyrgios starts his 2017 campaign with a bang!
The Australian has no problems in defeating Feliciano Lopez 6-3 6-4. Nick impressed especially after he won the opening set in 23 minutes leaving not much to his opponent. In the second set, things were a bit more even with Kyrgios inflaming the crowd in the 5th game after he won a point following a great tweener. The Australian won the match in 65 minutes.

Nick was completely surprised with his tennis and the entity of the result to comment
“I wasn’t expecting that, to be honest. I felt like I was gonna be a little bit rusty at times, but I played really well today, and it’s surprising, because I haven’t been doing that much on the court, I’ve just been trying to get into a good head space and being ready, so I was really happy with the level today.”
Apparently, Kyrgios has decided not to play much tennis in the past few days to dedicate more time to the gym.
