Ranked no.6, the Greek sensation is having a solid week after his huge disappointment for crashing out in the first round in Wimbledon at the hands of Thomas Fabbiano. Stefanos is in the semifinal in DC after conceding no sets on his way following his wins against Tommy Paul (6-3 7-5), Jordan Thompson (6-3 7-6), and Benoit Paire 7-5 6-0.
The upcoming Greek will face Nick Kyrgios in the semifinal for the 1st time of his career. They played together doubles earlier this week.

Maria is having a complicated, but successful week in San Jose after reaching the final 4 following a couple of tough battles. In fact, after beating Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-1 6-4 in the first round, the Greek conquered the next 2 matches in 3 sets after recovering from a 1-set down deficit before beating Mayo Hibi 4-6 6-4 6-2 and the seed no.1 Elina Svitolina 1-6 7-6 (3) 6-3 after recovering from a 1-6 1-4 deficit.
Maria will face Saisai Zhang for the 3rd coma in heir career. The H2H is 1-1 (details).
Is Maria Sakkari Stefanos Tsitsipas’ girfriend?
There have been many rumors about a possible romance between Stefanos and Maria especially after it was clear their chemistry during the last Hopman Cup. Stefanos and (especially) Maria insist that they are the only friend for a long time, but it seems obvious that there is something more between them.
