Playing the Olympics damaged my wrist. NADAL

Rafael Nadal is trying to stage another comeback after he took a break following Shanghai to regain some fitness.

During a recent radio interview, the former world no.1 admitted that playing the Olympics was great (because he won the gold medal in doubles), but eventually he damaged his wrist that was already hurt during the clay court season. Fortunately, everything seems to be a thing of the past.

Rafa commented

“[Playing the Olympics] caused an edema in the wrist, but I have been practicing at a good level already for weeks.

I’m doing well physically, and I’m looking forward to starting the new year. My goals? Competing well and having the chances to win what motivates me.”

Rafa will play the Mubadala World Tennis Championships (31st of December – 2nd of January).

That is going the moment when we will know Rafa’s conditions.
