ROGERS CUP. Shapovalov already training thinking of his epic Nadal’s upset

MONTREAL. Denis Shapovalov is already training in Canada hoping to have a deep run at the upcoming Rogers Cup

Denis Shapovalov getting ready for the Rogers Cup

Denis Shapovalov is back in Montreal where in 2017 he had an inspirational run that brought him to the semifinals after beating Juan Martin Del Potro and later the great Rafael Nadal in the 3rd round

At just 17 years of age, the young Canadian played a tennis out of this world putting the home crowd on fire especially during his match against the King of Clay.

Still 19, Denis managed to reach his best rank in April (20), but then he struggled to keep his excellent results, and he is now “only” no.31 after he won just 2 of his last 11 matches.

Montreal seems to be the “natural” place for Denis to bounce back and he is already in Canda training for the Rogers Cup. Here a video about his “shirtless” practice.

Hoping for the best!
