Foro Italico unveils major transformation ahead of Italian Open 2025

New Facilities In Rome

The Foro Italico has undergone a significant expansion ahead of the 2025 Italian Open, introducing three brand-new courts inside the historic Stadio dei Marmi. This transformation enhances the tournament’s infrastructure, providing an improved experience for players and fans alike.

The centerpiece of the expansion is the SuperTennis Arena, a newly built stadium with a seating capacity of 3,000 spectators. Alongside it, two additional courts have been constructed, each accommodating 800 fans, further increasing the venue’s ability to host high-profile matches. These additions bring the total number of match courts to nine, with twelve more dedicated to training sessions.

The decision to expand the Foro Italico comes as the Italian Open continues to grow in popularity, attracting record-breaking attendance numbers in recent years. The tournament, scheduled from May 5 to May 18, 2025, will feature some of the biggest names in tennis, including Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev.

Beyond the new courts, the venue has also improved accessibility, allowing spectators to enter directly from Viale dell’Impero. The Fan Village has been redesigned, offering more entertainment and dining options, making the event even more immersive for visitors.

With these upgrades, the Italian Open is set to deliver an unforgettable experience, reinforcing its status as one of the most prestigious tournaments on the ATP calendar. Fans can expect thrilling matches in a setting that blends tradition with modern innovation.
