Winning the US open has been great for Stan Wawrinka, now it’s also sweet.
What happened?
The World no.4 has received a chocolate replica of the US Open trophy by the tournament organizers at the Banque Eric Sturdza Geneva Open.
The trophy was handed during the pre-tournament press conference Wednesday in Geneva. Apparently, it took two days to craft the full-size replica.
From Wawrinka
Stan was impressed by the gift even if he remained cautious about the possible “damage’ that so much chocolate could do.
“This is a lovely idea from the tournament. The trophy looks great, what a nice surprise! It’s good that I already started working on my fitness with Pierre Paganini,†said jokingly the Swiss.Â
