Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas are 2 completely different characters. Besides the fact that both are extremely talented tennis players, the Australian is well known for his struggle to commit to tennis while the Greek is fully focussed on it.
Nick and Stefanos had also some quarreling during the last few months after Kyrgios made fun of him for his vlogs. However, Kyrgios and Tsitsipas surprised the tennis fans after they decided to team-up in doubles at the Citi Open. Eventually, they ended up losing in the opening match against the seed no.1 (Cabal and Farah) 6-3 3-6 10-5, but they produced a fantastic entertainment.
Kyrgios’ message to Tsitsipas
It was rather refreshing the chemistry between Stefanos and Nick and eventually, the Australian posted a heartfelt message on Instagram directed to Tsitsipas saying:
“We may go about things differently…but, tonight was a special moment and honestly it was awesome to share the court with you. It’s been cool to see you bloom into the player you are, and you are only at the beginning. You are gonna be able to help and influence a lot of people. See you in Cincinnati 🤩 📸 @ccsnaps13”
Once Andy Murray said that Nick “cannot be all bad,” and of course he was right.
Great to see this.
