An elderly man in Vouliagmeni, Greece, has filed a police complaint after being bitten by a dog owned by the mother of Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas. The incident occurred on Monday morning near a café, where the large German shepherd-type dog reportedly attacked the man without warning.
The victim, Giorgos Lamprou, a local restaurant owner, described the moment as terrifying, stating that the dog bit him on the thigh, tore his pants, and left him unable to move. Café patrons rushed to assist him and took him to a nearby hospital, where he received stitches and medication for his injuries.
Lamprou expressed frustration that the dog’s owner left the scene immediately without checking on him or offering an apology. He emphasized that he is not seeking compensation but simply wants accountability and assurance that the dog will be properly controlled in the future.
Local residents have reportedly warned the woman in the past about the dog’s behavior, urging her to use a muzzle. Authorities are now investigating the complaint, and legal consequences could follow if she is located within a specific timeframe.
