Andy Murray in short list for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year

After a sensational season that allowed Andy Murray to win his second Wimbledon, the Olympic Games, and finally, to grab the top spot in the rankings, the Scot is in the pole position to win the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

Andy has already won the award in 2013 and 2015, and he has been nominated in this year’s short list with Jamie Vardy, Nick Skelton, Gareth Bale, Sophie Christiansen, Kate Richardson-Walsh, Danny Willett, Nicola Adams, Max Whitlock, Adam Peaty, Alistair Brownlee, Mo Farah, Dame Sarah Storey, Kadeena Cox, Jason Kenny and Laura Kenn.
