Jannik Sinner has shared insights into his interactions with fellow players during his suspension, revealing that he has spoken to only a few. Among them is Jack Draper, with whom he shares a close friendship, as well as Lorenzo Sonego. Draper even joined Sinner for training sessions, reinforcing their strong bond.

The Italian also mentioned receiving unexpected messages from certain players at the beginning of his suspension, while others he might have expected to reach out remained silent. Despite this, he acknowledged the competitive nature of the sport, noting that every player is focused on their own journey and ambitions.

This is what he said:

“I haven’t spoken to almost anyone. I’ve spoken to Draper, we’re great friends and he came to train with me. Then with Sonego. At the beginning of the suspension I received some surprising messages from certain players, while from others from whom I perhaps expected something, nothing arrived.

But in the end it’s normal, everyone wants to win, there was no video call with any player. But everything will be fine. I don’t want to name names regardless”

Sinner emphasized that there were no video calls with any players during this time but reassured that everything will be fine moving forward. He chose not to name individuals, opting instead to maintain privacy regarding his personal relationships on the tour.
