The Rogers Cup is about to start in 1 week, and the seeding is out.

Unfortunately, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have already announced that they will not be able to compete in Canada as they need to recover from their grueling fortnight in Wimbledon.

Therefore, Rafael Nadal will be the only representative of the big3, and so the new upcoming players have a considerable chance to conquer the prestigious title.

The organization has already announced the following seeds:

1. Nadal
2. Thiem
3. Zverev
4. Tsitsipas
5. Nishikori
6. Khachanov
7. Fognini
8. Medvedev
9. Anderson
10. Bautista Agut
11. Coric
12. Isner
13. Basilashvili
14. Cilic
15. Goffin
16. Monfils

Is this a chance for Stefanos Tsitsipas?

The upcoming Greek is having a fantastic season even after his disappointing stint on grass. Stefanos has already achieved many objectives in 2019 such as reaching a semifinal in a slam (Australian Open) and breaking in the top10.

Being the world no.5 in the Year to Date Rankings, Tsitsipas also has a good shot at qualifying for the ATP Finals, but the Greek has stated that he wants to win an ATP1000 in 2019.

The Rogers Cup could be a great opportunity also because he reached the final last year before losing to Nadal. He “just” need another step and since he has recently defeated the King of Clay in Madrid, he knows he can do it again on fast courts.

Stefanos’ chances to conquer his first title in Montreal are definitely enhanced by the absence of both Federer and Djokovic, and therefore, it’s time for him to make a move.
