Murray breezes to the London semi

Andy Murray has a nice stroll in his last match of the round robin of the World Tour Finals to defeat Stan Wawrinka 6-4 6-2. The match lasted five games; then Murray won 8 of the following 9 games to reverse the scoreline from 2-3 to 6-4 4-0.

A flurry of unforced errors crept into Stanislaw Wawrinka’s game, allowing Andy Murray to take control early in the 2nd set

The second set was easier because I have already qualified for the semifinals. MURRAY

Andy explained the dynamics of the encounter to comment

“The first set was tight. There weren’t many chances. I managed to get the break late in the set. In the second set I’d already qualified for the semis, so maybe it was easier for me to play more free than him.”

Next vs. Raonic

Andy will play Milos Raonic in the semifinal. The head to head is 8-3 for the Brit that has won the last seven matches.

Andy commented

“He’s played very well in this event. These are quick conditions here and it’ll be tough. He’s got a huge serve. It’s an amazing stadium and atmosphere.”
