The Czech Republic rules again!

Karolina Pliskova, Petra Kvitova, and Barbora Strycova win the Fed Cup for the 3rd consecutive time, the 5th in 6 years.

Everything started with an amazing performance from Karolina Pliskova in her first match against Kiki Mladenovic when the Czech won 6-3 4-6 16-14 after 3 hours and 48 minutes. Then Carolina Garcia stunned Petra Kvitova in straight sets 7-6 (6) 6-3 to make things even. The score-line was all square also after the reverse singles when a tired Pliskova lost to Garcia 6-3 3-6 6-3, and Kvitova downed Alize Cornet 6-2 7-6 (4).

Everything was down to the decisive doubles when Strycova and Pliskova defeated Mladenovic and Garcia 7-5 7-5.
