Djokovic roars back in London

Novak Djokovic is not lost!

The world no.2 produces an exceptional comeback after losing an adventurous first set in his first match at the World Tour Finals against Dominic Thiem. The Austrian won the opener at the breaker (at 10) after squandering 6 set points; from that moment Nole took the lead to win the match 6-7 (10) 6-0 6-2. The encounter ended after 2 hours and 2 minutes.

Returning well was key. DJOKOVIC

Novak conceded that his return game was the key to turning around the match. The Serbian commented

“I felt more comfortable. I started swinging more freely in the second set. Obviously made him play an extra shot. He started making more errors, which I used. I was on top of his second serves, putting a lot of pressure. I thought I played very well in the second set especially, but the third as well.”

The first game of the second set, when I made the break, I knew that even though it’s only the first game, it was a significant lead. We didn’t have any breaks of serve in the first set.”

Next vs. Raonic

Nole will play Raonic on Tuesday in the second match. Milos defeated Monfils 6-3 6-4 as he looked rather comfortable on this fast surface. Djokovic leads Raonic 7-0 in the head to head matches.
