John Isner signs a cannabis deal

The American no.1 discusses the various benefits of CBD

John Isner, the American no.1, has signed a sponsorship deal with a CBD company. The world no.14 signed a contract with Defy which is a manufacturer of CBD-infused sports drinks.

Now Isner will sport Defy logo on his hat and he will also be taking the drinks to various major tournaments he plays. Obviously, Isner will pocket some hefty money for the deal. The exact amount of the deal is still under wraps. The American is known to have some genuine interest in CBD which is reflected in his discussions where he points out the potential benefits of CBD at aiding muscle recovery during competition. He says:

“I play a sport where taking a single point off can be the difference between winning and losing a match and Defy is a product specifically intended to put me in a position to perform on every single point,  it’s been great getting to know Defy as a company and I look forward to working with them to help people achieve improved performance through CBD.”

Isner talked about how even a single point in tennis can be crucial and CBD can definitely help him perform better.

What is CBD?

CBD, also known as is one of the chemical compounds which is found in the cannabis plant. It is understood to have various health benefits and research is underway to understand its true potential.

There has been a growing interest in understanding the potential benefits of cannabis-derived products. Several studies are trying to understand its effect on health.
