WOW. Angry Wawrinka says to French Minister to go home

Stan Wawrinka doesn’t care who you are, if he is upset, he is upset.

During his match against Jan-Lennard Struff in Paris, the Swiss wasn’t pleased with Jean-Vincent Placé, France’s Minister of State for State Reform and Simplification, and Jean Gachassin, the president of the French Tennis Federation. Apparently, Stan was distracted after they were speaking too loudly during the match.

Go home. WAWRINKA

Stan was leading 6-3 4-5, and he was struggling on his serve when he said to the pair

“Oh, do you mind if we play a match? No, but seriously, it’s midnight, if you don’t want to watch us go home.”

I am not sure he was talking to us. PLACE

The Minister tried to play things down saying

“There was a hubbub in the stands and as I was in the first row…it’s true that at midnight everyone is a bit distracted. We were talking with Jean Gachassin, but honestly, we weren’t shouting. Frankly, I’m not sure it was addressed to me in particular. (it was!)”

Later Place said that Wawrinka was just unhappy because he was losing (which is not true, because he was winning at that time; he lost the match only later in 3 sets).

If being a politician means just lying, tennis is not the right sport for them.
