Kohlschreiber downs Cilic to win the 2012 BMW Open in Munich for the second time

The BMW Open in Munich has to have a German winner! And that was it.

Two home players had a very good week. Haas was killing seeds after seeds (Tsonga and Baghdatis), before he had to surrender to Cilic.

In the other part of the draw, Kohlschreiber (seeded nr.4) stormed into the final after an inspiring match with Feliciano Lopez.

After the match, Kohlschreiber commented. “I improved from match to match, felt very well for the whole week and played good tennis,”.

It was pretty funny when he also commented “I don’t really know what I should say,” he said. “I don’t have as much experience of this as Federer”.

This was his second title in Munich (the first was in 2007). Kohlschreiber won more than 94.000USD and he drove off with his new BMW (white convertible) that was part of the prize.

It’s a terrible job… but somebody has to do it!

Well Done!
